Stakeholders involved: Park Enterprises
1. Deep Integration of Intelligent Transformation and Net-Zero Carbon Emissions
To promote high-value industrial growth, the Central Taiwan Science Park builds on central Taiwan's precision machinery cluster advance to continuously projects that accelerate intelligent industrial upgrades and digital optimization. Through a consultation group of experts from industry, academia, and research institutions, the Bureau assists companies in implementing cutting-edge technologies like AIoT, 5G, big data analytics, and robotics. This has not only significantly boosted production efficiency but has also relieved the operational pressure caused by industry labor shortages. At the same time, in response to global net-zero trends, this project places special emphasis on applying energy-saving, carbon-reduction, and resource-recycling technologies. Between 2024 and 2025, it successfully approved 6 joint industry-academia-research development projects, providing total subsidies of NT$19.139 million , effectively driving dual-track growth in both digital and net-zero transformations. Furthermore, focusing on the critical field of "precision health," the Central Taiwan Science Park promotes cross-domain cooperation among industry, academia, research institutions, and medical centers to build a clinical validation mechanism. From 2024 to 2025, 13 R&D and marketing promotion plans were approved, with total subsidies reaching NT$29.39 million. The scope covers precision prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and care, striving to establish Taiwan as an international hub for biomedical innovation and development.
2. Emerging technology application plans and innovative products
To encourage science park companies to align with other industries or academia to jointly conduct research and development for emerging technologies, the Bureau promotes the Science Park Emerging Technology Application Program. This program aims to drive R&D in emerging technologies, strengthen supply chain integration, cultivate innovative technical talent, and foster industrial innovation, transformation, and sustainable development.
Between 2024 and 2025, the program received 23 applications and approved 16 joint industry-academia-research development projects, providing total subsidies of NT$45.986 million. By combining forces with different industries and academic institutions, the program channels innovative energy into the collaborative development of emerging technologies
3. Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incentive Plan
In line with the National Science and Technology Council's "From IP to IPO" (FITI) program goals—bridging the gap between "innovation" and "entrepreneurship" while driving the innovative economy and technological transformation—the Bureau actively coaches and trains startup teams to participate in the FITI program. Each cohort operates on a six-month cycle, connecting teams with domestic and international entrepreneurial coaching resources to guide them through the training. In 2024, the Bureau supported 5 startup teams that went on to win the Entrepreneurial Potential Award, including SafeSwim, AIlicorn, Nature Honey Snacks Ltd, Reisender TECH, and He-Zhun Pharmaceuticals.
Additionally, the Acer Corporate Succession Award was won by the NTU Smart Water Quality Testing Team, while the Entrepreneurial Excellence Award was presented to the Zen-Hern-Mei team. These achievements demonstrate the immense entrepreneurial potential and hard work of the teams, while highlighting the Bureau's successful track record in mentoring and guiding startups along their journey.
In 2025, the Bureau successfully coached 4 startup teams to win the Entrepreneurial Potential Award, including Magnesium Savior, Phallow Nature, Unter Aqua, and Brainmate. The Acer Corporate Succession Award was won by iFlow Lab and U-Hu Bio., while the Innovation Pilot Award was presented to the AI-Wan-Sui team. These achievements demonstrate the immense entrepreneurial potential and hard work of the teams, while highlighting the Bureau's successful track record in mentoring and guiding startups along their journey.
In terms of resource introduction and achievement transformation, multiple teams successfully secured government program subsidies, including Lock Future and Fuyu Biomedical receiving subsidies from the National Science and Technology Council's Research-Based Startup Sprout Program, Weiyuan Technology gaining support from the Ministry of Economic Affairs' A+ Industrial Innovation R&D Program, and Taiwan Carbon Shuttle and Hao-Zhun Technology also receiving startup empowerment and transformation coaching funds; additionally, iStone and Magnesium Savior respectively obtained subsidies from the Research Achievement Transformation Program, demonstrating that coaching effectiveness has concretely transformed into capital injection and technology implementation.
Additionally, the Bureau has established a startup coaching platform and introduced a precise mentor guidance mechanism, assisting startup companies each year in overcoming key challenges such as market expansion, fundraising, and international alignment within a short period. Furthermore, in 2024 and 2025, three companies—Taiwan Carbon Shuttle Technology, OLPROHEAL BIOMMIC Co., Ltd., and Foremostar Technology Co.,LTD—were respectively selected to visit Thailand and Singapore for industry matchmaking, successfully expanding into overseas markets and progressively realizing the comprehensive coaching objective from startup incubation to industry alignment.
4. Innovation Carnival
To assist startup teams in accelerating their path to entrepreneurial success, the Central Taiwan Science Park Bureau organizes the CTSP Startup Innovation Carnival. Featuring entrepreneurial trend sharing, startup mentoring, and roadshows as its core focus, the event sets up product and technology exhibition booths for startup teams to facilitate networking and matchmaking. With the theme "Accelerator × Innovative Academia-Research," the event links accelerator resource integration with crowdfunding momentum, deepening collaborative ties between startup teams and academic-research institutions while jointly showcasing the latest scientific research achievements and innovative technologies. At the same time, potential campus startup teams are invited to participate in pitch competitions to enhance their presentation skills and market communication abilities. Since the inception of startup support efforts, the program has successfully facilitated the growth of 10 incubated startups into registered science park tenants, while another 3 companies have successfully registered on Board for Startup and Acceleration, demonstrating concrete results in startup cultivation.
5. Startups Linking the Future
To promote cross-domain innovation within the industry chain, the Central Taiwan Science Park Bureau held the “CTSP × Arizona International Cooperation and Exchange Forum” on September 8, 2025, bridging the gap for Taiwan-US industrial dialogue. This event not only coached 5 startup teams to engage in technology matchmaking with the Arizona Commerce Authority and industry-academia representatives, helping local startups secure international exposure and cross-border investment opportunities, but also demonstrated the park's long-term commitment to nurturing startup ventures.
At the same time, the Bureau successfully facilitated the signing of Letters of Intent (LOI) for exchange and cooperation between Chaoyang University of Technology, National Chi Nan University, and the University of Arizona. Through this international alliance in higher education, the initiative cultivates a talent pool of semiconductor professionals with a global perspective, fulfilling the SDGs visions of "Quality Education" and "Partnerships for the Goals."
