Vision (Purpose of Establishment)
The purpose of the establishment of the Science Park is to provide an excellent industrial development environment, introduce advanced technology industries and scientific and technical talents, give play to the industrial clustering effect, and promote the rapid transformation and upgrading of the domestic industrial structure. The CTSP Bureau takes "promoting the industrial upgrading in the central region and promoting the balanced development of the region" as its mission. At the same time, it is committed to considering the sustainable environment, making great efforts to promote the balanced development of all aspects of society, and to interact with local governments for mutual prosperity. Taking Leading with Innovation, Building Long-Term Resilience and Promoting Inclusive Co-prosperity as the highest goal of our efforts, CTSP will become the most competitive science park in the world.
Identification process and results of major core targets of T-SDGs
In accordance with the spirit of universal participation and inclusivity advocated by the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the CTSP Bureau quantified the results of 225 questionnaires and conducted internal management analysis. Through this process, 7 major core goals closely related to the Bureau's mandates were identified, serving as the core pillars of this report and the baseline for prioritizing resource allocation.
Policy Pillars
The Central Taiwan Science Park (CTSP) Bureau is dedicated to practicing Taiwan's Sustainable Development Goals, launching a comprehensive transformation spanning economic development, environmental sustainability, and social inclusion. To move toward sustainable development, CTSP uses green technology as an engine to accelerate the industry's transition toward a circular economy and assists companies in refining carbon reduction strategies to build a smart, sustainable park. CTSP not only pursues sustainable economic growth, but is also committed to optimizing the investment environment and increasing job opportunities, while prioritizing the dynamic balance between urban-rural prosperity and environmental ecology. Through cross-disciplinary cooperation and local connections, a friendly living environment is created, fulfilling long-term commitments to society and the environment and embodying the value of coexistence where technology and ecology go hand in hand. CTSP Bureau's main core objectives align with T-SDGs 6, 12, and 13, with secondary contributions to goals 4, 8, 11, and 17.
